Bought me a 70 GTX
« on: January 12, 2009, 05:19:12 PM »

Yeah, I know it's not a "C" body. I've had this car in my shop for over 3 years doing all the body and paint. I've been trying to get the owner to get me the weatherstrip and other minor pieces for it so I can finish it up and get paid for it and get it out of my garage. Well it turns out he is having some serious financial trouble so to make a long story short I bought it cheap. It comes with a fresh 440 and 727. It's got an air grabber hood and an awesome paint job if I do say so myself.  The things left to do are interior. probably a new wiring harness and bumper rechroming. It also needs a bunch of reassembly. Wasn't planned but I just couldn't pass up the deal. azblackhemi2009-01-12 22:21:24

Picked up some of the parts for the GTX today. Still got to go back Sunday for the motor, trans, windshield, back glass, 391 sure grip and other misc parts. Here's a pic of the load I brought home today. I got alot of work ahead of me.

Great score,Chris.
It was a pretty solid car but it did have a little rust. I had to patch the right quarter and extention. I also had to put a trunk floor in it. azblackhemi2009-01-15 23:50:53
