1968 plymouth fury iii drum to disc conversion
« on: June 06, 2009, 05:15:57 PM »

ok guys i just bought my first mopar...1968 plymouth fury iii...75000 original miles good running car with a straight body.  picked it up for 700 bucks and drove it 100 miles to my house.  i am a firm believer in not giving wylwood or ssbc 800 bucks for a conversion so...
my question is what year model of what car do i want to get the front brake rotors, lines, and master cylinder for or out of so i can make a clean painless swap.  i would like to be able to use the factory spindles if at all possible...help me out guys!!!i really appreciate it.

Any 73 C Body except Imperial will work.  Good luck with that.  Most of the yards have been picked clean

As Steve stated the best set-up is he 73 C-bodies, they do show up on the classifieds occasionaly. Also keep an eye on e-bay as well...all you really need are the spindles the rest can be bought new.

The brakes section of this forum should be titled "General Tech- -Drum to Disk Conversions"!

Get the backing plates and proportional valve from the donor car as well.
