Your first car....
« on: December 23, 2008, 04:38:00 PM »

What car do I regret loosing...think it would have to be my 72 Demon....it was bone stock turd brown with baby puke beige interior and a /6 auto, manual brakes and power steering. Had the car for a couple years and cooked 2 /6's and just got angry one day and called the wrecker to tow it away....First and only time I've ever made a quicka nd rash decision like that and I still regret it....

first car that was mine... 1974 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham. 440 with a thermoquad... dont have a single pic in digital form from before its accident... looked almost exactly like this though... same color and everything...
hell of a car. post accident...

Its the car i wish i had back too... although my 83 town car was kinda neat too...
the towner was a car i loved to hate heh... of all the cars i've had, it never left me stranded even though it had well over 325k, had suffered an engine fire, the fan clacked insesently, and it was the slowest thing on gods green earth... Once it ran away from me with a popped parking brake, blew a rear (still drove home), and beat the snot out of a mitsu galant... the day i decided to donate it i went out to grab the registration to notice the clock had finally stopped and the windows all quit.

Not my first car but my first C

1968 VIP.Boy I loved that car.
My sweetheart. That car had a spirit about it--only if she  could talk.
I paid 200.00 for her and spent 160.00 to keep her going for 5 years.
She never let me down
Cancer got the best of her, though.
When I bought the New Yorker she signed her donor card.
On the way to the wrecking yard,Madonna's song "The power of Goodbye" played on the radio..She knew it was time..Gerri said I cried after I let her go..
I do think about the great memories I have of her everytime I use the power windows in the New Yorker.
The BoaB has the left outside rear view mirror from her.
So there are parts of her that never left  and she is still in my heart

1973 Pontiac Grand Am.
Valencia Gold, leather interior and African mahogany veneer.
The man who owned it used to work at a shop a few doors down from our apartment and I remember it from when I was four  or five years old.
400 with Holley Dominator intake,780 double pumper,Ram Air IV cam and tweaked 400 tranny.600.00 for the car and another 1600.00 to get it on the road.
Car was fast but was a typical Newfoundland rust bucket.
When I moved up to Ontario,I lost storage of that car and it eventually got its organs yoinked and the car was crushed.
I am not sorry for what happened at the time.
My life was going nowhere and without the move I would not be here and never had the oppourtunity to realize my Mopar dreams..
I brought up my buddy Sheldon (he is on the passenger side getting in)
We have been friends since we were kids. When we get together to have a few beers, talk old times, this car gets brought up ..
