Budd discs and 73 discs

Just a thought.... If you have Budd disc brakes now could you just change the spindles and rotors to 73's and use the same master and proportioning valve?  well along with the 73 caliper brackets and calipers.  The hoses should be the same right ? The front drum hoses are the same as 73 discs.

I don't know, Brother Ar.  I did learn that certain parts, including hoses, cannot be "mixed and matched."    Others will know....

The booster, master and proportioning valve should work fine....but ideally you should switch to a 69-73 proportioning vlave....the hoses might have a different thread size on the caliper fitting end so I'd recommend using the proper 69-73 hoses.

You will need to change your lower ball joints to use the '73 spindles and caliper carriers--the Budd ones are way different from the ones used on with the single piston caliper (and drums).
