Home, Home on the Reeege!
« on: November 13, 2008, 09:19:28 AM »

Got the Reeege home today!!!  Despite dark skies and
showers,  my ol' rollback man Walter showed up on time and the
ride down & back to Scranton from Bingo was uneventful, and it was
parked in the driveway by noon!  Rain prevented getting pics, but
s'posed to clear up tomorrow PM, so I'll get some... I found out the 90
yr old lady original owner used to take it on the train to Florida
every October and back to PA in the Spring ...so no wonder the body is
as clean as it is underneath... It does some cosmetics, for the plastic
bumper extensions on each bumper, the typical sagging headliner... time
will tell on the mechanicals...  but in these parts body rust is
what does a car in, so the body is key...  but so far I like
it!

Here are pics of the Rodger Dodger
St.Roger....er St.Regis..
Lose the granny wire wheels. This thing screams cop wheels and cheese grater dog dishes.
Or a classy set of alloy wheels, but that's just my opinion.

If you do scrap the wheel covers, send them here.  I could use them on my 5th

Middle son's first car... 320K miles and still burns no oil, all
original engine. But needs a disty repair...I just want it out of my
driveway!!!!!  # 2 son has an '82 900 Turbo, parked in the yard to
the L of pic.. I want that gone too!!  Great cars, but not in my
yard!!  How many of you spotted my DeSoto, thru the Dodge
windshield??  And the '70 Nova in the other bay... original family
car... I need more garages!!!

Steve - those wheel covers are yours if you want em.. must add 15 lbs apiece to the unsprung weight!!

Anyone have a clean set of 15" stainless Mopar full wheel covers, say circa 1970 to 80?

I want to take the wires off and just put on 4 stock plainer style full
wheel covers, not dog dishes - wouldn't work visually with the dark
vinyl roof or the rich interior - you should see how plush inside this
thing is, it has the optional loose pillow navy velour 60-40
seats...  more plush than my '69 Imp was!  This ain't no cop
car!!!

$190 -that's riRichardilus!  The '78 Dippy caps look like those but
have the nice Dodge crest in the middle - that's what I might look
for... I like alloys on more sporty cars, but wheel covers look good on
these kinda formal looking ones...leastwise to me...
