It will run better and cleaner with the conventional set up.  Not to worry. . .

That's what I'm counting on.

One thing I forgot to ask:  Does the EGR valve have a gasket between it and the manifold?  I can't find info on that one way or the other.  The FSM doesn't show one...but I just want to double check before I order the new part.

I ask because my Autozone guys are real nice....but only one one of 'em knows cars.  So if he's not there I can't count on them for help.

The EGR does have a gasket. But I just goop Ultra Copper for a good seal.
Actually,if you plan on blocking the heat crossover,it will not work anyways.Just keep it there for the smog police.
Even though I am running electronic ignition,I zip-tied the LeanBurn harness to one side and left the pooter attached to the air cleaner --again should I need to keep the smog police happy.

As for the ECU's I am a cheap ba$tard so I use partz jobber cheapies.
The key is recurving your distributor to your application and super fine tuning for economy and power .

Very timely.  I'm about to set up the dizzy for my 440-WOB.  The cam is profiled for max torque at 2800 RPM.  How should I recurve the dizzy for this?
