Just about 100% of aftermarket parts are manufactured outside of the U.S.
NOS, IF you can find them, would not be worth the effort, unless they're laying around anyway.
AdvancePepZone brand name points all work fine.

If I get out there and realize it's too big a project for me what realistically could I hope to get for it as is?

Points are available almost anywhere.  So are the caps and rotors.
