Look what showed up on E-bay
« Reply #15 on: September 27, 2008, 08:49:04 PM »

Just thinking....Craig told me it was a "D500 with a 325 Hemi and dual quads". Perhaps He did read the codes on the car and that's why he thought it was the original 325 motor? He did'nt know it was a 352...The new owner Earl figured this out and thinks he has a goldmine...

Here's the Craig's ad that I found

Again such an alleged rare car and that ad had NO pictures.
I am assuming that Mr.De Lisio has passed on..
The bid is at 12+ grand.Right where it should be for this car in its present condition and known history.
The Hemi conversion should  add no less than four or five grand to the car.It has more fun value with it than anything..

All I can say is I hope Earl( the present seller) realizes that the car is a D500 clone and revises his description on E bay to avoid his perfect 100% feedback score. He has been a E bay member since 2001,so he is legit.
More than likely the information provided to him by his client is misleading and is unaware of the magazine article.
IMO,Earl has not really done any serious digging or research on this car at all.
It is a "flipper"

P,that is the ID of the Hemi engine stating that it is a D500 engine.
On 57 models, according to my sketchy research, the only real way to determine if the car was inded a D500 is the build sheet not the VIN.
There was no solid way determining if the motor "matched" up to the car.

The auction is over....seller ended it early because the item is no longer for sale......HHMMMMMMM...Did the guy that offer $52,000 buy the car??? Could Earl have sensed the cat getting out of the bag?? Earl's ship may have come in or perhaps The Forward Look guy told him that this car is not  legit and Earl has terminated the auction?? I read through all the posts on the Forward Look site on this topic...kind sketchy at best...Is this motor indeed a 325 then?? Did Earl also taken license to call it a 352 in his e-bay ad?...The guy that sold it to Earl clearly told me it was a 325.... furyfever2008-09-28 23:16:27

There is no such thing as a 352 Hemi.....

the numbers are:
Dodge- low blocks: 241, 270, tall blocks: 315, 325
Desoto- low blocks: 276, 291, tall blocks: 330, 341, 345
Chrysler-low blocks: 331, 354, tall block: 392

2nd generation Hemi: 426

Yes you can install Hemi heads on a poly block, except for the 1956 and later 277, 301, 303, and 318 Plymouth and Dodge engines. These can't be converted. To make a Hemi, the Chrysler poly's get Chrysler Heads. Dodge, Plymouth and Desoto poly's get Dodge heads.
