Because ole Vin Diesel (my 1990 Dodge Cummins) decided to puke the fuel pump... I went looking for an RV for the family to come to the races with me..

I found this little beauty (actually quite ugly) 1979 Dodge 3/4 RV.. 360 , thermoquad,  dana 60.... nice piece...

Inside the cabinets you can still see the green shag carpet

Yes.

Class A: Full Motorhome body built on truck chassis.  Lengths up to 46.'

Class B: Modified Van body.  Not a "Conversion Van" because of provision for cooking and sleeping.  LArger ones have showers - Roadtrek 210, Sportscoach, etc.

Class C: Motorhome body on lengthened van cab and chassis.  MAx length 27'.  (They might be pushing 32' today, but I'm not sure.)

I've liked and wanted a MH for years!  At this time one would be very impractable for me since I can only use one four weeks out of the year.  I can't do weekend camping due to my vocation, which was why I had a Tent-trailer for years.  They don't deteriorate while sitting as a MH will.

However, I;m getting older....  It's getting close to that time when....

I spent the day underneath it.. the wheelwells in the rear needed some attention, and I have to put in a window regulator.

Next week it gets all four ball joints and wheel cylinders in the rear..

I hope maybe the end of next week I will be able to drive it..

The darn thing looks like it has a 30 gallon gas tank... it is behind the axle and is HUGE...

Bobby may be rigth; if you have a rear toilet it would be the holding tank, unless that toilet is a "porta-potty."  It could also be a "grey tank" for your sink.  But, Dodge vans of that vintage used a 33 gallon gas tank.  More than likely that's what your seeing.

It has a holding tank for grey sink water.. and is not big enough for a dedicated toilter.. so it will have a portable one in it...

33 Gallons.. WOW  124.74 litres at 1.20 a litre... = $150 to fill up .. WOW

And i bet this 360 and thermobog will barely get 10 - 12 MPG I bet...

A buddy of mine has a '96 Dodge Roadtrek 210, 360 Magnum motor.  He gets 13-15 on the highway.  But the magnum will get better MPG than your carb motor.  I owned an '87 Ramcharger, 360 carbed, NP435 4-speed trans.  I got 15 on the highway even though it was rated 13 by the EPA.  (I bought it new.)  My Dad once owned a 15' Mini-MH built on a  Dodge A-100 chassis and 318.  It got 15-18 on the highway, and was much heavier than your Class B will be.  You might get some decent mileage.

Then again...

Well... it has a broke top control arm.. so it will get replaced tomorrow.. we found that out when we went to take the top ball joint out on the drivers side...

By tomorrow it will have 4 new ball joints, and two new rear wheel cylinders...

Now I find out I have to have an appraisal for tax purposes because it is over 20 years old before I can transfer it into my own name... grrrrr

Then that's it for safety... I did all the small things last week...
