Kirk's Kar Upholstery RAWKS!!!!!!!!

Sure, it's not 100% restoration perfect, but I'm NOT RESTORING my 300, I'm REFURBISHING it, and I decided the total slick black vinyl, while it LOOKED nice when new, just is NOT the way to go for the hot summers experienced here in California's Central Valley.

For a comparison, here's some pics of the original vinyl as it was when I found Chaz back in 2004;

The vinyl was as hard a biscotti, and the foam in the front seats had more than a passing similarity to cornbread (Snotty and Mobby, you guys can stop reading now if your keyboards are starting to get covered in drool).

Obviously the front seats were the ones in worse shape, while the rear seat was hardly used and the foam and stuffing in it was deemed good enough to re-use.

The emblem design is a modified version of the original wheel and rear deck badge, but it will also echo the modified new wheel centers I'll be making by adding some '79 'Doba 300 rear lamp stickers to them.

Ard, sorry man, I've got so much invested in Chaz now, that I can't take another car (no room to park it, and I'll probably be getting rid of the Armada..if possible...big gas-guzzling SUVs are hardly in vogue right now  )

Moe
I think you (they whoever) did a good job staying faithful to the original seats, just used cloth instead of vinyl. Joke 'em if they can't take a Yeep!!!

That's not cloth (although cloth and vinyl was an option for '67 Chryslers), the vinyl in the center is actually a suede that has been perforated with a European pattern, per my direction, kinda like this

I wanted to retain the original pattern and trim pieces, with the exception of the rib that ran down the center of the seats.  Otherwise, I think it looks GREAT, and now there won't be any "seared flesh" from sitting on black vinyl seats on a hot summers day, plus, there is a bit more "grip" now and less chance of sliding when going around corners or curves.

Lea, Bawby has NO competition...he's in a league of his own
I think it took just under 2 weeks to get this stuff done. I wasn't expecting it until next month.
I think part of what helped was he determined the rear seat cushioning was perfectly fine to re-use.

Thanks P...don't you have some t-shirts to get done or something?
And where's stitch?  I can't believe he hasn't chimed in on this...then again, maybe it's like a gynecologist seeing a Hustler magazine...seen one, you've seen 'em all
