Clutch fan install
« on: May 23, 2008, 12:16:55 PM »

Guys, waiting for my E-bay fans to arrive in the mail, but I was wondering since I have to install the radiator to move the car to the garage this weekend, can I install a fan with the radiator in place?  Also, what size bolts will the clutch fan need to bolt to the water pump?

Yes you can put the fan on with the rad in.  Put the shroud on first if it's a 1 piece, or the bottom half if it's a 2 piece.

I believe the bolts are 5/16 X 1 Grade 8

Carman, it is also easier to remove the top radiator hose so that it's not in the way.  Actually, just remove one end, either from the rad or the motor.
