Those were the first year of the improved wiring system from 70.  But if you find one, get the whole dash cluster too.
[/QUOTE]I noticed the wiring in both my 73 Imperials was of a MUCH better quality than on my 67 Newport. I'll watch for possible trouble on my SF

Foamy, keep up the good work!

ok heres an update. the chrome trim will be back on the car as soon as i can get it up to my house from my parents house(a week or so), the painting under the hood will be done by the end of next week, and i'll be working on the guages and guage lights cuz i want to have them lol, i just need to find some bulbs(no one seems to have them), the actual parts will wait until i have some cash flow(seeing as the parts i need are HARD to find and most likely found of EBAY. um Steve i might need some Tech support help for the wiring section.(keyword... MIGHT) so don't count on it. but i'll update if i have problems. i go back home sunday and will be working on the car by tuesday.

ok . seeing as i now have some warmer weather headed my way, i might be able to get some stuff done. to do list includes the Carb swap, cutting the new rubber mat for the trunk, replacing the guage cluster(got a new one) installing the NEW window cranks and installing the new interior dash trim. i also need to istall the crome trim on the outside but don't know how to go about doing so. the clips are all gone so i was thinking of using some adhesive. any sugestions??
