Battery Tie Down
« on: May 08, 2008, 11:26:32 AM »

Does anyone know what the proper battery tie down looks like for a '66 300?   I've seen tie downs sold at various places online, but I want to be sure I get the right one.

On my '66 it was a single eye at the rear of the tray.  At the header panel it was secured through an elongated hole with a nut and washer.  I believe all slab-sides used this style.

That's the same one in my 71 and 72 as well.  It's been so long since I've done one I forget

I don't have a picture of one handy, but I can prolly sketch one if needed.  There was a guy from the original drydock who was selling repops on eBag some time ago.

Let me see if I can find one on EGay

I don't have the tie down any more either so this post helped.  I still have the sticker though.
