Obviously one is RH thread and the other is LH thread, so which is which???

Whether inner or outer, they will be reverse thread either way.  They only one who will truly know the difference, and who would need to know, will be the person who performs your alignment.

Well over on the Original C-body board a member...1966cruiser...said in all the years he's been working on old cars the outer s have always been RH thread.....

Not sure if the FSM would have that info in it??  I have one for my beast but figured that would be a little obscure for the FSM.
 
I just pulled apart the original tie rod ends and sleeves and the outer indeed were RH thread.
