POWER WINDOW CONVERSION

has anyone ever converted a man window car to power? i have a 68 new port convert as a donor car for the pw setup and want to put it in my 68 fury convert, im hoping its gonna be straight forward but figure it wouldnt hurt to ask the wiring wizzards on here.

If I can find a pic of a door panel, I'll show you Polaraco.
 
It's the Cambrio, Cabrio something like that.  They work good.  Just be careful about the switches you use.  I'll see if I can find you the link

These look like the ones.  Price is good.  I need to order a set of spares anyway.  Because of faulty switches, I fried two of them .  This link is a mile long

I had not done a conversion--but I had my fair share of re and re power window regulators,etc.
Behind the Newport's left kickpanel you will need the curcuit breaker that feeds the power windows.
All '68 Chryslers had a main feed in the wire
harness going to this location-regardless if it was  or was not p.w. equipped.Usually a heavy guage red wire that bolts onto the curcuit breaker.
Trace and remove all wiring that is dispersed from this thingy.
If the Fury does not have the wire in the kickpanel,make one up and wire it to the switched feed in the fuse box.As an added safety measure wire up a in-line fuse.
(In my car I wired up directly to the starter relay to reduce the load on the fuse panel.My windows are hot-or on- so I do not need to turn the key to raise or lower them.If you are doing the MAD conversion,the last recommendation will be necessary.)
The regulators are a bolt in deal.There may be some differences in getting the glass aligned to match the roofline-and each other.P.windows may have different types of stops compared to cranks.
Refer to your FSM for differences.
I have wiring diagrams upon request.

That's exactly why I did it to my '65.  (that, and power windows are just really handy in a convertible)
 
If you are removing everything from the donor car, it should be pretty straightforward to put it all back.
 
The biggest hassle was drilling the holes in the cowl/doors to run the wires into the front doors.  I was replacing the front quarter panel, so took the door off at the same time, and drilled them then.  My passenger door is still manual, because I haven't got the replacement quarter ready for that side yet.
 
Clean and test all the switches, connectors, and motors while everything is out flat on the driveway.
 
Always make sure the regulator clamped or bolted or something so it can't move before you remove the motor from the regulator.  THOSE SPRINGS CAN BE SERIOUSLY DANGEROUS!
