I was going to black it out after I had it all shimmed and straight.  The bolt threads need to be painted.   It won't be done this year. . .I'm fixing the front fenders, installing the shifter and away she goes for the winter.  Time for the 62

This sucker kicked my butt.  I'm going to have to make a shifter hump for this.  I need to make more room for the bracket and the hole is way too big for the boot.  Bad angle too.  The action is nice and smooth so I am pleased.  I should have lubed the pivots and forgot.  I aint going in there again. . . LOL
 
But!  Progress has been made.  The fenders are salvaged and reconstructed on the insides.  They are all treated on the inside and sealed for storage.  The fenders are just mounted and not set as they will come off again.  orry for the blurry pic.  The sun throws off the focus on the camera, or I was shakey.  LOL

Yeah, I cut the hole too big in the Gremlin too!  There are some rather large after market shifter boots!

Yeah  I know.  But I kind of like the idea of the boot being straight up.
I had to cut it that big and bend the floor in places
