We bought this car during the summer, with the idea of possibly driving it during my holiday. To my dismay, I discovered that bureaucracy is not something exclusive in Holland but also exists in the USA, the morons at the BMV wouldnt give me temporary tags for te car Angry but we shipped it anyway Big%20smile

Its not really my kind of car (no power windows, not enough doors, pretty small) but its quite OK still, its a full size mopar after all Smile

Besides, it has some little spots, and the interior needs some attention. Its a 383 4 barrel car. After the purchase, I had it towed to a mechanic my friend in Ohio recommended, and some necessary work to make it road-ready was already done. New windshield, gas tank cleaned and redcoated, new fuel lines, idler arm replaced, one tyre replaced, etc. I've seen the car myself during my holiday, and everything seemed to work, except the AC.

Lets hope that it survived the journey pretty well.... first project will be to make it street legal, so have to make it ready for road admission test. If we decide its a keeper, it'll get a propane conversion as well.

A few pics from the car:

The best way to do that is to either find the build sheet which may still be under either the front or back seat. The next step would be to decode the VIN i forget if it would be listed there or not, and finally do a burn out and see which wheel smoke comes from.

IIRC,the previous owner was a member of another forum and the car was driven regularly.

There are occasionaly codes on the rear its self. But if you go under and look at what kinda carrier you have, it should give you a better Idea... if all round lookin with no bolts thats 8 3/4, and I'd bet the gears are highway tall... prolly 2.76. The burnout is hard to do with them tall gears, and lo po, but basically all it say is wether you got the sure grip or the peg leg.

Sjack, if you do the propane conversion, Take pics of how that all comes together, I'd be interested to say the least.

The car has a 383 and a 2.73 rear end. It hasnt been driven for a year or so. The previous owner had some registration issues, but he's been very honest regarding the condition of the car.

With some help, I have arranged temporary tags to drive it from the harbour to my shop. Lets see if it makes it

Cool find Sjak! And NO, it has the perfect number of doors LOL!

After watching your drag video, can we assume that it will see some competition in the future? Hmmmm, nitrous, big blocks and propane sounds like a fun mix.....Thumbs%20Up
They treat me like dirt! Well I'm better than dirt! Well better than most kinds of dirt. Maybe not as good as that store-bought dirt. That dirt's packed with nutrients. I can't compete with that stuff
