The Rusty Parts

These are the other areas on the car that have been bitten by rust. Randy assures me that these can all be replaced easily, and I'll never know they were there...

Of course, there is the floorpan. When the top went away, there was a giant leak... Note the big hole in the driver seat area. The rest of the floor is pretty thin. Randy thought that although it would be possible to replace sections of the floorpan, the end product wouldn't be any better than doing the whole floor at once. Since the replacement floor was so solid, he suggested that we do it all in one fell swoop. An air chisel will remove the old pan, leaving the metal underneath solid for welding through the holes in the new pan. Here we go again!

Rust in the lower portion of both quarters. This side will be replaced because it was hit once, and not repaired well.

Just a tad of rust in the lower fender. Fairly easy to fix.
