TTI Header Install
The header install was kind of a pain. This, in what I felt was the best of all possible worlds, no suspension, K-member, torsion bars... but the starter was still in the way, and it turned out that the starter I had wouldn't work anyway. There are two types of the large Mopar starters, the short housing and the long housing. I had the long housing, since that's the hot-rod way to go. Use the higher torque starter to get the job done. Well, you ain't going to install the TTI headers with the long starter. The DS just clears when the short starter is used, but ought to be cake with the mini high-torque aluminum starter. I'll test both and post the results here.
Some random photos of the parts... sorry for the crappy resolution on the first few.

Note the stepped design... 1-5/8" then up to 1-3/4". The straight 1-5/8" headers may install better than these did.

The slip joint really does fit perfectly. They are assembled as one piece, then the flange is cut before chroming. Be patient...

NICE THICK FLANGES!!

In the car, while the K-member is still out. BE SURE to have the starter out when you do this job! BE SURE your engine mounts are in GOOD SHAPE when you do this job. That 1/4" of clearance may make all the difference!!
